Our success showed with 23 rigs on the grid at Barber this year. Riders wore them to the finish to win prizes. Due to the conditions, Nyblod elected to ride his Premier-class Jawa four-stroke in moto one and his Yamaha YZA in the second race. Thanks to the support of all our members, patrons, sponsors - and of course the help from the City of Penrith Club, we now look to build on that success with the VMX season. We have reached out to six additional tracks and will continue our efforts to add more races in the west.
Oddly enough, this is one that continues to be a bugaboo for some of our racers. It's drying out here in Kirkland Same rules, same classes and so on…everything that you know from Three Hills, but at a different location. Physical fitness is very important, usually my legs are sore after practice day. Well, it took some serious legal work, but we are now able to allow minors under age 19…but must be at least 16 years of age to compete on race day! Finally, it signaled the end of the twin-shock era, as linkage-assisted single shock designs were the future— was the first year of the Suzuki RM Full Floater rear end. We have some terrific plaques to hand out to our new champs this Sunday!
